The State Labor Inspectorate's action plan foresees 60,000 inspections in 2024 in Poland. As part of these initiatives, inspections are scheduled to ensure adherence to regulations governing working hours and leave entitlements within local government entities.
Additionally, the Inspectorate will scrutinize compliance with regulations pertaining to the company's social benefits fund, to secure rightful benefits for employees and enhance overall employment conditions.
The State Labor Inspectorate program encompasses the incorporation of the remote work framework introduced through last year's amendment to the Labor Code.
It is worth noting that the Inspectorate's scrutiny of remote work may encompass, but is not limited to:
- The correctness of fulfilling formal obligations related to the implementation of remote work, such as whether the remote work regulations have been properly implemented,
- The employer's compliance with informational obligations in the field of occupational health and safety,
- The accuracy of provisions in the remote work regulations,
- Inspection of documentation related to the performance of remote work by each individual employee, such as whether all necessary statements have been signed by the employee.
Chief Labor Inspector Katarzyna Łażewska-Hrycko announced that inspections will also cover issues related to the organization of remote work, such as providing remote workers with proper and adequate tools, payment of allowances or lump sums in connection with the use of employees' own tools and materials, and compliance with occupational health and safety requirements.
